"Marietta" was filmed in Vienna, Austria, in an apartment building that has been in Marietta's family since the aught years of the Twentieth Century. The film is in black and white, which suits the interior of the mementos and heirlooms, family portraits and souvenirs of eras past. Yet Marietta herself was extremely energetic and contemporary in her approach to life.
